Have you always wanted to try pottery but don't have time during your busy schedule throughout the year? This beginner friendly 4 day summer session wheelthrowing immersion is perfect for you! Spend 4 days (10am -4pm) learning the basics of making your own unique vessels on the pottery wheel. Secure your spot with only $150 deposit today. You will learn how to * prepare your clay * centre on the wheel * make simple cylinders, mugs and bowls * trim your pieces * decorate your pottery * glaze your work! What's included: * tuition by experienced teacher *clay *use of materials, tools and equipment * use of studio slips and underglazes * bisque firing of your work * use of studio glazes and glazes firing of your work (please note we will fire up to 25 pieces per person) additional pieces will incur additional costs) 4 consecutive days As the process of pottery takes time, we will need to wait for pieces to dry before we can bisque fire them. For this reason you will then need to book a glaze lesson separately and come back to glaze your work. The glaze lesson is 3 hours and included as part of this program.
