Service Description

Make your own handbuilt lamp workshop Hilary has over 30 years of experience creating wheel thrown ceramics that balance elegance and practicality. Specialising in teaware, tableware and table lamps, her pieces are crafted to be durable yet refined. Hilary is also an experienced ceramic teacher and is dedicated to sharing her skills. Jac has been creating bespoke lampshades and running workshops for over 10years and has recently started making her own range of small table lamps. Together, Jac and Hilary have a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide you through the process of making your very own table lamp. What you will make: CERAMIC BASE (~18-20CM IN DIAMETER AND 10-15CM IN HEIGHT) FABRIC SHADE (15CM DIAMETER X 18CM HEIGHT) WHATS INCLUDED: • expert tuition to build your own ceramic base and make a fabric lampshade • clay (choice of 2 clays - white or speckled) • clay tools • bisque firing • glazing (choice of 3 glazes on the day) • glaze firing • lampshade making kit • wiring up of your lamp base to Australian standards WHAT TO BRING * bring your own fabric or choose from a small selection on the day *lunch *water bottle
